before you get the confidence level that you can actually hit to the
mark.

Cannula. Nothing can actually substitute for a pure best practices.
Trouble that One Goes Through
Tourniquet:
Applying tourniquet can actually lead you to a
trouble, especially when it comes to the process of inserting an IV
Cannula. You will have to make sure that the veins are in the right place using
the right equipment. And if you are trying to palplate the viens without
tourniquet then it is impossible for you to see the veins. Having the
tourniquet placed in the right manner will help the veins pop out at ease. And
incase if it is too tight you can simply cut off the circulation, and there
will be no blood that will make the veins puffy. Incase it goes loose then the
blood would continue to flow and it would not pool for the puncture.
Another trick that you can try here is using a
blood pressure cuff. Cuffs are generally used to provide the nurses with some
better obstruction of the venous flow, making the patient feel more
comfortable. Have the Cuffs placed upside down, so that the tubes are facing
away from you. Then slowly pump the cuff to just blow down the
patientsdialostic pressure, in order to get the best results and making the
patient feel even more comfortable. Pumping it at a higher level will make the
patient have pain in the fingers and will obstruct the blood too much.
Keeping the arm warm: If your patient arm is cold
then it's really not possible for you to see the veins. Even though the
patients are within the room temperature, then your chances of seeing the veins
goes away drastically. You will then have to warm them up, and some of the old
school nurses have left the best tips and tricks on how you can do it.
